Honoring my homeland in the first Arab feature film in this series. I am a proud Jordanian.

Theeb is a coming-of-age period drama set in 1916 Arabia and following Theeb, a Bedouin boy who must survive in the wide-open desert, as he embarks on a journey of brutality.

Shot in the same open-ranging as set (Jordan today), Theeb is a ballad of a boy who's nature is as wild as the environment that's shaped him. This is a story of brotherhood, bravery, generosity, and culture.

Superb directorial debut from Naji Abu Nowar - who'd lived for a year in Wadi Rum during the pre-production of the film, compelling screenwriting, breathtaking music, and spectacular cinematography of the same land where Lawrence of Arabia, The Martian and Dune were shot.

The story of Theeb is from over one hundred years ago, yet its roots, characteristics, and culture still reflect on Jordan and Jordanians today.
