Moonrise Kingdom is a coming-of-age comedy-drama following 12-year old orphan scout Sam and 12-year old Suzy, and their plotted runaway. Their entire community sets out to find them.

This is a tale of a boy and girl, a tale of young love, innocent romance and sexuality, and rebellious childhood.

Inspired by the likes of François Truffaut and Satyajit Ray Wes Anderson would become a 21st century auteur of cinema and mastermind of visual storytelling.

Astounding screenwriting and direction, fresh dialog, exhilarating editing, nostalgic music, and spectacular color palette and symmetrical framing.

Moonrise Kingdom is an unconventional masterpiece of cinema for the young and for the adult. A Wes Andersoni stylized picture of visual poetry.
